This comet became known as the first comet where a human spacecraft was able to land on. The spacecraft Rosetta studied this comet extensively in 2014 and landed a probe Philae to study the surface.

Couple of weeks later; another pass, the comet is growing, and a large tail is starting to show:

I managed to do a quick follow-up on the comet, it is still going strong, but apparently fading after its peak brightness.

***Update March 2022***

The comet is still visible, and sprouting a large, but faint tail.
